TO MY DEAREST SISTER CRISTINA!
She is the youngest of ten siblings and the family's pride. She was on top of her class during her kindergarten, elementary, high school and on her LLB.
This is her when she went to Singapore with sis Ping last May of this year.
I remembered, when she was in her final year at Barobo Central Elementary School, her being a valedictorian was a controversy. It happened that her rival was the daughter of a "seasoned" teacher in that school and the mother is a high school teacher in the national high school and even until now. I was already a teacher at that time but I was a neophyte. We just let the truth prevailed. There was only one strong teacher who really fought for her, the history teacher, who believed that my sister was superior than the other girl. She conducted a series of tests in her subject and my sister consistently made it ahead of everybody. That was the proof she used to support her stand for my dearest sis.
Her high school life was even more challenging. She had a lot of extra curricular activities that sometimes involved all of us. She was the president of the student body and other minor student groups in her school. She ran for the office of Kagawad in the Sangguniang Kabataan in the poblacion and got more votes than the one who won the chairmanship. It was really a hard fight because we don't have money to spend for her campaign yet she made it.
She was also the team leader of the Parliamentary group that went all the way to the national level compitation and won the most awards. She finished high school with so many medals. She got accepted at Xavier University or Ateneo de Cagayan without a problem. She finished her four-year bachelor's degree and tried to take the Accountancy board but she failed. She then got an accountacy job in one of the accounting firms in Manila, despite her not passing the test. Then after few months, she decided to take the scholarship exam in MSU Marawi and passed luckily. She enrolled her LLB on a scholarship grant and made it with flying colors in 2006. She was the class valedictorian and a Cum Laude for the entire College of Law in the whole MSU system.
She just passed the Bar exam which was held September of last year. She is now working at the Department of Trasportation and Communications in Manila.
We are so proud of her!
